Joel Embiid vows that the Philadelphia Sixers will still win the series against the New York Knicks.  Embiid voiced his frustration with how Game 2 ended but voiced his confidence in his team, “We are the better team.”  Tyrese Maxey won the 2023-24 Kia Most Improved Player award.  Maxey ended the regular season with career high numbers aftering averaging 25.9 points, 6.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1 steals per game.  Villanova alumni Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo lead the New York Knicks as they return to Philadelphia, where they all had success at the collegiate level.  The NFL Draft begins on Thursday April 24th, and the Philadelphia Eagles currently hold the 22nd pick in the 1st round.

There's a strong buzz in NFL circles suggesting that the Eagles are eyeing a strategic move up the draft board in the opening round.

"I think we're trading up because if you just look at their history the last few years, they're a trade-up team. They did it in 2019, they didn't do it in 2020, they did in 2021, they did in 2022, and they did it in 2023. If they like you, they will go up and get you. They will make you a Philadelphia Eagle no matter what. They don't care about the picks. Even with Wentz, if they really fall in love with you, they will do everything in their power to make you an Eagle. Picks be damned, essentially."

Unfortunately, the Flyers have fallen just short of reaching the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Looks like it's time to start looking at the roster and see how they can improve the roster. With that comes trade rumors. One of the ones popping up early is Joel Farabee according to NHL Insider Elloitt Friedman. He made the claim on his platform 32 Thoughts. Drafted by the Flyers in 2018, the 24 year old winger is coming off a season where he played all 82 games finishing with 22 goals and 28 assists. He did set a career high in goals, assists, and points. There are going to be other names popping up in the next few weeks for sure, so it could be a wild offseason. Would you trade Joel Farabee the offseason or ride with Beezer heading into next season?
